Short Sands, LLC takes very seriously its commitment to publish the Bible without accidentally adding, removing or altering even one character. The Bible is provided to Short Sands in a format that is not immediately usable for rendering on a screen or searchable. We have a publishing process, which converts the Bible content into the form that we... need. To accomplish this objective we make extensive use of a kind of testing we call "Symmetric Validation". The process of publishing involves a number of steps where Bible content must be converted from one form into a different form. The basic idea of symmetric validation is that we also write a validation program which converts the ending form back to the starting form.
