About Shining
Shining 'R' Ranch and C.R.I.B. Creek Beefmasters Roy and Iris Ratliff have been in the cattle and horse business for decades. Roy grew up on a farm with cattle, pigs, horses and hunting dogs in southern Missouri, while Iris was a girl who grew up in Armourdale of Kansas City, Kansas. They were married in 1971 and have mostly lived in the western area of K.C., Kansas until moving the Ranch to Lamar, Mo. in 2006. In 1982 they began to raise Beefmaster Cattle. Roy was impressed by their growth ability, low maintenance and hardiness. They started with two Beefmaster females and today have over 300 head of Beefmaster cattle. Thus C.R.I.B. Creek Beefmasters was born! There are several acres to the Ranch that are between Kansas and Missouri that makes up the Shining 'R' Ranch of about 1,300 acres.
