Art can come in many shapes and using any of several different mediums. Stone is my preferred medium since it comes from the Earth and it gives me several different ways to manipulate it. As a sculpture artist, the Earth gives many different types of stone to utilize in the sculpture art. The sculpture artist begins each piece with a a rough pencil etch on the piece of stone, which gives a better idea of what the final marble or alabaster sculpture will look like.
