Sherman Industries created the Protean Series Data Receptacles because it didnt exist. As TVs have evolved into HDMI & beyond, our in-wall cabling is still based on the coax system. A person spends thousands of dollars on a TV & then has the cabling hanging down the wall. Data receptacle innovation offers a huge opportunity. Despite our many techno... logical advances, data receptacles, the key to cable management, havent changed much in 60 years. They are obsolete the day they are installed. We spend money on the latest technology and manage it with an obsolete installation. Sherman Industries exists to fill that need. Our mission is to provide our customers a data receptacle that has their current and future needs in mind. Ours is a dynamic, infinitely adaptable receptacle that can change as fast as technology, thus mitigating unnecessary expense, demolition, and downtime. As we grow into a global company, we intend to be a leader in global citizenship as well. Current data receptacles do not provide for adaptability or future expansion. Our product addresses both of those concerns. The product is a finished receptacle yet classified as a supporting device. The receptacles are single gang, left, center, & right. For example, if a two-gang receptacle is installed and later there is a need to expand the system, simply remove the piece of wallboard, slide the right side over, and insert a center section. This process may be repeated numerous times. In the above described process, expandability, normally requires expanding the internal support structure. My receptacles include a clip. As the system is expanded, each section is self-retaining.
