Sherborne Turf was established in 1972 and what started as a family business supplying the local area with turf, has grown steadily to encompass all aspects of gardening, while maintaining its traditional values. As the name suggests, our core business is turf, and we currently have around 150 acres of quality farmland dedicated to the production o... f our Trent Turf. We are members of the Turfgrass Growers Association (TGA) and as such our grass is grown to high trade standards. It is then cut to order and delivered using our own vehicles and drivers experienced in the product. Delivery vehicles include an articulated tractor unit with trailer and removable forklift to manoeuvre the pallets, a rigid 6-wheel lorry with crane for lifting over high retaining walls, and an Isuzu truck and trailer for those very tricky little spots. While the trade standard for delivery is 'kerb-side', we realise that this is not always practical for our customers, and so our drivers always endeavour to place the items as conveniently as possible for you, a service which is often not provided by other companies. As part of Sherborne Turf's ongoing desire to provide a complete service for its customers, the supply of ameliorants was gradually introduced to the portfolio, and the full range of products now includes topsoil, compost, bark, mulch, dressing, fertiliser, wildflower seeds, irrigation equipment, rakes, pegs, landscape fabrics, and many more garden essentials. The soil we supply is from a trusted supplier, screened to 10mm, and stored under cover in winter, ready for delivery in bulk bags. Alternatively, loose loads are available for bulk orders, and these can be delivered using vehicles ranging from a 4-wheel tipper to an 8-wheel bulker.
