Sheepdog Farms

My husband said this - so we can blame him. So that's just what we did. We raised a few birds. After eating them, we couldn't believe the flavor! What have we been eating? All I can say is things went completely out of control after that. Apparently, we hit on something here. People were looking for this kind of food. People wanted to know who was... raising their food, and how. So we grew from a few birds - to thousands. Now let's add pigs and ducks and turkeys...oh my. The demand hasn't slowed, and it's wonderful! We want people to know what we do, where their food comes from, and who raised it. One of the biggest problems for small family farms is being able to produce enough to get this type of food into a more mainstream market. We have helped train new farmers to this type of sustainable agriculture. We have joined forces with several of them as "sister" farms. Together, we are able to produce to the levels needed to get into restaurants and health food stores. We will always sell from the farm and at the Farmer's Market.
