About Sharratts
Sharratts is a family run business & first started making wrought iron products in 1975 when Keith the founder of the business was only 15 years old working from his aunt's cellar. After leaving school Keith got a job as an apprentice sheet metal worker which while learning the trade also give him the opportunity to produce more intricate works of art. It didn't take long before he found out how much in demand his products were. So in 1979 at the age of 19 Keith opened up his first workshop in Leigh, Lancashire. Today the business is as strong as ever & our products are very much in demand, so using traditional blacksmiths skills along with modern day technology we are still creating and producing beautiful works of art in iron and continuing in Keith's passion.
