Shadow Productions

Shadow Productions is comprised of four people with the following backgrounds: journalism and English studies; audio engineering; communication theory; history studies; music composition; videography; animation; fine arts and music; graphic design; website design; acting and directing; natural science; and Chinese studies. Matt's approach as a writ... er is heavily influenced by communication theory, an approach he first learned at Boston College while studying English and Speech Communication. In his graduate program in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Northern Arizona University, Matt concentrated on media, persuasion and behavior change, particularly in the realms of health, energy and the environment. Matt's award-winning writing draws on cultural archetypes and is informed by research in the behavioral sciences; the goal is to recognize and respect that communication is a process of understanding diverse age, income, and racial groups. Matt is a veteran interviewer, having talked with hundreds of people of all ages, races and walks of life. Matt has experience in conducting and using quantitative and qualitative research, and particularly in distilling data into messaging. As project manager at Shadow Productions, Matt is also responsible for communicating with the client and ensuring that projects come to completion on time and on budget. Matt sold his car because he wasn't using it, and his fondest wish is that someone would invent the perfect bike commuting suit that allows a person to show up for meetings in dress shoes and a tie. An electrical engineering education at the University of Vermont allowed Doug to combine his talents as a composer and musician with a technical background.
