The SGT University is committed to uphold its objective of imparting quality education to transform young minds into better human resource for performing a leading role in the society. And, hence, the Faculty of Commerce and Management of the University was established for preparing the students to make them the frontier Professionals in the discip... lines of Commerce and Management. Initially, the Faculty has introduced undergraduate programmes of Bachelor in Commerce (Pass and Honors) and B.B.A. (General and Hospital Administration) to make the students ready for the corporate sector and health services. The academic curriculum, pedagogy and teaching methods include class room learning, group discussions, role playing, case studies, management games, presentations, assignments, faculty and industry interface, industry visits and guest lectures for making coordinated efforts to ensure value based perspective. Thus, the students are not only exposed in management areas rather they are prepared to be humane managers and agents of change. For the successful accomplishment of the programmes, the University provides excellent infrastructure facilities in terms of Class Rooms, Seminar Rooms, well-stocked Library, computing and Internet Labs including games and residential facilities. In the process of expansion, from the next academic session, the faculty has already proposed to start additional UG and PG programmes in the area of Management and Hospitality and Tourism for which the exercise to design the course curriculum in consultation with stakeholders has started. The first half of the current academic session stared with comprehensive induction pertaining to course curricula, ordinances, teaching methodology, available facilities on the campus, students welfare programs etc. Besides regular academic activities, one day Workshop was organized for the students on 'CFX Plus' to learn about the latest software for accounting and taxation.
