SETC United

We are a unique group and together, as State-wide Trades workers, we can be force. I am committed to making sure, we as an SETC Board, will be professional Stewards in everything we do. Oh yes, we too will have an agenda... that agenda will be to put egos aside, and conduct our business for the good of our Union. It starts with respect, we all dema... nd it on our jobs... now it's time for us to show unity and demand it from all of our Administrators. It will take constant work from many of us, I for one am ready to roll up my sleeves, to work hard, sharing ideas with all our Members and our SETC-United Board. Now more than ever, this Board needs to represent all of you. You work hard and you and your families deserve it! Let's not get distracted by talk of affiliation, but rather support the meaning of United-and I mean SETC-United! Focus on what makes our Union great and use it to our advantage equally through-out all of the Campuses and Universities. Our future depends on a strong, well-organized, and cohesive Board. Through-out the State, we are seeing far too much Contracting of our work. Unbelievable, some of the contracting out is being done by our own Members, some who simply refuse to share any information of potential work requests with co-workers. I will fight with you and the Board to preserve any work requests that any of us want to do, in-house. It is our work, our right and more importantly, if we don't fight, will lead to our jobs being lost. I won't pretend to have all the answers, but I will promise to commit the next three years to the office of Vice-Presidency. We must have strong decisive leadership, I believe these next three years are very important and are no joke. I commit to attending all meetings, Board, Membership, and any other, it's imperative to be prepared and represent. Serving SETC as a Steward is not part-time. I will be available anytime, anywhere.
