About SET Ministry
Since 1985, SET has cultivated relationships with people living in poverty in Milwaukee to bring the healing support that is necessary to journey on a path toward increased self-sufficiency. SET recognizes the potential in all individuals by examining what is underneath their symptoms. It is a philosophy that combines scientific research with compassion. SET focuses its healing practice of trauma-informed care within peer-to-peer groups and families, understanding healing happens best when it happens together. SET's programs bring about healing and develop skill building, resiliency and relationships for people of all ages. 4,000 people, including 1,000 school students, benefit from SET's evidence-based methods each year. SET's place-based model brings its services to people who need them at 22 locations. Through collaborations with other organizations, SET leverages services throughout the community to channel resources to meet the needs of individuals.Explore more
