Serrano Elementary School opened in 1986 . Serrano's vision is to equip students with a solid learning foundation to achieve high academic performance. At Serrano, they are proud of their "Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports" (PBIS) program. Behavioral expectations are implemented, monitored, and evaluated following school-wide expectation... s. The PBIS rewards program works to celebrate and incentivize students' good choices and behavior. Students have the opportunities to use these rewards at the SOAR store. Serrano Elementary serves students in TK through fifth grade, and offers a comprehensive curriculum that is aligned with the state and national standards. The school is dedicated to providing an opportunity of strong social and emotional learning where students feel safe and appreciated and their differences are welcomed. We are committed to providing a rigorous academic program that challenges students to reach their full potential. Serrano Hawks are held to high expectations so that all students meet or exceed their educational potential through both student and school-wide goal setting. These goals are continually monitored and adjusted to ensure they meet the needs of every child.
