The owner, Steve Payne, is act... ively involved in the daily operations of Sequel Drill & Blast - from the blast design through to the drilling, loading and firing. In the past, he has managed multiple projects of varying sizes; the largest being five rigs on double shift, to smaller sites in residential developments, where fly rock, noise and environmental restraints are imposed. Steve has been responsible for the pioneering and establishment of many new quarries in remote locations. Other facets of his role as Managing Director involve Occupational Health & Safety, Training and Quality Control of all Shotfirers, Drillers and Sub-Contractors and to implement and review procedures.
