Its founders started the research project of steel cord conveyor belt detection method in 1995 sponsored by the national coal mining department. In 1999 they built the first and sole set of steel cord conveyor belt inspection system in China based on latest magnetic flux leakage (MFL) technology. In 2001, the product won the Technology Innovation A... dvancement Awards of the nation and province. In 2007, the company (Shanxi Sentechnics) was acquired and fully owned by Sentechnics Pty Ltd, an Australian company, based in Melbourne. With the fast growing of Chinese mining industry in the past 18 years, Sentechnics' engineers had faced many challenges due to complex mining environment (many underground mines working under 800 meters deep from surface; diversity of geological environment); various application requirements. Sentechnics obtained rich experience and technical expertise from working with hundreds of customers.
