At Senior Hope, we respect the individuality of each of our clients. Our goal is not to change them - our goal is to give them the tools they need to recapture the essence of who they truly are. As they learn to love and respect themselves, these courageous men and women are on the path to creating a legacy full of possibilities and hope. After 40... years in academia, with the support of family, my wife Adrienne and I decided to open a treatment clinic exclusively for people 50 years and older struggling with alcohol, drug and prescription drug abuse. When our doors opened in May 2002, we saw a client base that had been waiting for our compassion, our expertise and our commitment. Our team of professionals works diligently to provide services that, until now, had been missing for the senior population. Clients who come to Senior Hope know they can trust and believe in themselves as they move toward independent and stronger futures with confidence and dignity. And we know it is not only the individual's life that is affected. Three generations suffer the consequences when a senior family member is dependent on drugs or alcohol - when parents are unable to let their children spend precious time with grandparents because of alcohol or drug abuse, special moments and memories are lost and rarely recaptured. At Senior Hope, our individual programs and group offerings have saved lives and reunited families. We're proud of our achievements and we're honored to work with this often underserved - yet very deserving - population. We take steps every day to improve upon what we started in 2002. In June 2009 we moved into a new building, doubling our space and enabling us to serve more clients. In addition, we are now located less than five minutes from a major hospital. Now, in 2012, we celebrate our tenth anniversary and eagerly look forward to our second decade of service to the families of the capital region.
