SEDRA facilitates inclusion through 5 key program areas: Education, Research, Awareness & Community Support, Family Support and Employment. SEDRA, a non-profit organization act as management consultants for public & private institutions and enablers empowering children, teenagers and adults with disabilities and their families. H.H. Sheikha Aljazia Bint Saif Al Nahyan, is the founding chairperson of SEDRA. H.H launched SEDRA driven by her keen interest in child development and passion for the empowerment of persons with disabilities; As the dynamic leader of SEDRA, she has a clear vision: Making the UAE Capital a global model for a barrier free, disability-friendly, inclusive city where everyone is given an equal opportunity to participate in all spheres of community life as per one's ability. H.H.'s generous support to child development transcends the UAE borders to include many international humanitarian and charity initiatives. Of which include, 'Operation Smile UAE', providing reconstructive surgeries for children and young adults with facial abnormalities globally. A voracious yet critical reader of literature both in Arabic and English, HH's favorite subjects are: Education, World History, Fine Arts, Arabic Calligraphy, Pacifism and Spirituality.
