Seattle Against Slavery

Seattle Against Slavery (SAS) is a grassroots coalition of nonprofit service and awareness organizations, government agencies and a thriving community of modern day abolitionists. SAS is a catalyst in the Greater Seattle area to bring about the change and solutions needed to combat the growing local and global crisis that is modern day slavery & hu... man trafficking. SAS facilitates our coalition and community to better communicate, coordinate, and collaborate to optimize any of our public awareness or fundraising campaigns, prevention initiatives or projects to be as successful as can be. Working collaboratively together, we can see greater results achieved. Together, we are stronger and louder to effect real change. Together, we celebrate our successes while supporting one another through the challenges and obstacles. Our hope and focus is to bring awareness of the "violent" injustices from slavery and human trafficking that will mobilize our community to such a degree that the publics social conscience will demand severe and transformational change in Seattle and beyond. There is nothing greater in our work than to see the restoration of dignity and value of human rights by ending slavery and human trafficking. Whether the work is local or global, rescuing victims or providing services to survivors, prosecuting perpetrators or creating new anti-slavery and anti-trafficking laws, we seek to connect the Greater Seattle-area of individuals and organizations in a grassroots community, with a vision to expand our network across the entire state as well as nationally and internationally. Our organizational collaboration is inclusive of all types of organizations, whether faith-based or community-based, governmental or non-governmental, nonprofit organizations (NGO) or for-profit corporations.
