SCSI Media is the online affiliate of the Southern California School of Interpretation which was founded in 1993. Our LIT® Platform was first implemented in 2006 to incorporate a Learning Management System that utilizes all aspects of our educational training programs in our campus location for students who would prefer a Distance Learning option o... ver a traditional class-room setting due to the commute or busy schedule. While various Learning Management Systems allow students to take their training online by logging in from a remote location, absorb their course material, and even participate in discussion threads pertaining to their course of study with other online students; We found that none of them really offered the live-environment atmosphere that our online students would prefer. We decided to adopt our own platform and create a system that brought all the current technologies available that would allow our students to have that traditional onsite setting. Servicing your own LMS through a 3rd party provider would still cost you tens of thousands of dollars just for the setup alone. This does not include the maintenance that ensures your platform is up to date and that your audience will receive any technical support due to any downtime. This means that you must hire someone to maintain your platform and provide any technical support, must also hire a creative team to publish your content and ensure it is readily available to your students. With technology advancing at an exponentially high rate, we are now offering our platform for a fraction of what other systems are offering theirs for. We provide our own server, provide our own IT and Creative Departments to ensure our high definition lectures are delivered on time and maintain our services through reliable services that ensures our content is protected.
