It is the mission of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry to improve it members and enhance the communities in which they live by teaching and emulating the principles of Brotherly Love, Tolerance, Charity, and Truth while actively embracing high social, moral, and spiritual values including fellowship, compassion, and dedication to God, family and country. The Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, as it is known today, has its origins on the continent of Europe, in France. We are part of the Fraternity of Masons, dedicated to teaching mankind the tenets of Morality, Relief of Need, Brotherly Love, Truth, Honor, Respect of Womanhood, Peace, and many other glorious lessons that help men to better themselves and the world in general. Long believed to be a secret society, Masonry, of which Scottish Rite Masonry is an integral part, has no secrets from the non-initiated, other than modes of recognition for the membership. Every part of the lessons of Masonry has been in print for more than 150 years, available to the general public in any well equipped public library. We believe that the most important non-secret that exists in all Masonic Organizations, is the ability of men and women, of all different religions, races, creeds, political backgrounds and nationalities to work together in harmony to perform their charitable goals on behalf of the world.
