Through the transformative healing power of selfless service, she continues to enrich the fortune of Scott's ultimate legacy and her own! Originally, Scott Foundation offered experiential projects that were focused on service to other schoolchildren throughout the Valley. Thousands of children participated and hundreds of teachers saw the positive... impact these exercises had on the children they taught. In fact, seven public and private school teachers were the original incorporators of this organization. Throughout the life of this community program, it became apparent that the young people who were most responsive to opening their hearts and caring for others - were those who needed help themselves. Those with troubled backgrounds and outsiders in each class seemed to embrace the experiences most fiercely. Recognizing that fueled Colleen's decision to focus all their efforts on the most vulnerable of our children, Arizona's foster youth.
