Scioto Darby Concrete Inc. is a full service concrete contractor in the Columbus and Central Ohio area, primarily in the commercial and industrial construction market. Scioto Darby Concrete Inc. was formed in 1979 in Columbus, Ohio by David Hamilton and was incorporated in 1982. The company has grown from two employees in 1979 to over ninety presen... tly. Initially, the company worked in light commercial, H.U.D. / FHA apartments. In the late 1980s Scioto Darby Concrete Inc. moved into the very flat/super flat market of warehousing while continuing to service other commercial / industrial projects. In 1992 Scioto Darby Concrete Inc. purchased their first Somero laser screed and currently own three. Scioto Darby Concrete Inc. can handle the footings, poured walls, sidewalks, curbs, concrete paving, slabs on grade, elevated slabs, architectural concrete and any other concrete needs for your project. Projects that Scioto Darby Concrete completed in 2011 include the Marion Whirlpool Warehouse facility of 700,000 square feet plus concrete paving. Other completed projects in 2011 included Yaskawa Motoman Robotics facility, Waters Edge Office Building, and the 7 story Housing Building for the Columbus College of Arts and Design, at 369 E Gay Street, Columbus, plus 30 other projects of various sizes.
