Examples of social development projects are: Agricultural projects integrated into hydroelectricity projects Micro-hydro off grid projects developed on the back of larger hydro energy projects. Scion's environmental strategy incorporates unique solutions where the nett environmental situation is improved far beyond just mere compliance. This applies to both the construction period and also the operational phases of projects. Scion's core project development team is based in South Africa, with office representation in both Cape Town and Pretoria. Local companies, with key local partners and shareholders, are formed in the other countries in which we operate. This includes our Zambian company, Scion Energy Zambia. Scion's key projects are currently located in Zambia, Malawi and South Africa, although Scion is actively pursuing unique opportunities within a number of other locations within Sub-Saharan Africa.
