SBG Securities commenced operations in March 2000 as a licensed investment advisor and dealer/market maker at the Nairobi Securities Exchange, Kenya. In 2001, SBG Securities acquired Equity Stock Brokers Limited, one of the oldest stock broking firms in Kenya, which marked its entry into agency trading and in 2002; SBG Securities became the first Investment Bank licensed by the Capital Markets Authority of Kenya.
