About Savvy Cinema

Im a freelance producer, with a background quite heavy on the TV advertising side. I received my formal education from Melbourne University, completing an Honours Degree in Creative Arts. I founded Savvy Cinema back in 2004, in the midst of high school and at the time produced a handful of corporate videos as well as short films through the business. In September 2007, I headed to LA to study at UC Irvine. While overseas I interned at Mandate Pictures in Beverley Hills (the production company behind Juno and Stranger than Fiction) and was also selected to participate in a student program at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival, organised by The American Pavilion. In the years since Ive worked my way up the production department food chain, sticking predominately to TV advertising (with a dash of reality and drama thrown in). Ive had the good fortune to work with a range of production companies, including Guilty, Positive Ape, Flare / Clemenger BBDO, First Floor Films, Sportsbet, TWBA and LateRead more

In TVC world Ive done everything from car jobs with low loaders, tracking vehicles and police escorts to travel and tourism shoots to a helicopter filming a Hercules C130 mid-air to talent sitting on a stool in front of a green screen delivering one line. On the more creative side in 2013 I produced the Raw Nerve finalist short film Dinner for Three that debuted on ABC2, and also music video This Place for band Zone Out that was invited to screen at Flickerfest in their inaugural music video competition in 2014. In 2016 I production managed the Screen Australia funded webseries Little Acorns for producer Eyvonne Carfora and in mid 2019 I produced The Legend Of Burnout Barry with the team at LateNite Films which was made as part of the DisRupted Initiative and premiered on ABC Me. Im also really obsessed with food. Making it, eating it and reading about it.Read More
