Walter B. Satterthwaite Associates, Inc., founded in 1977, has entered its second quarter century under restructured ownership and with revitalized energy. Three of the company's officers and principals (David B. Farrington, P.G.; Donna Luongo Savastio; and Paul White, P.G.) have purchased outstanding shares of Satterthwaite Associates' stock, and... have become the sole owners as of August 31, 2003. As it moves through its twenty-sixth year, the firm looks forward to a new era of growth and outstanding service. Recently retired company founder Walter B. Satterthwaite, P.G., started the firm that still bears his name after successfully establishing Roy F. Weston's geological services division. The company grew and responded to evolving environmental challenges. It is now a full-service environmental consulting and engineering firm providing a broad range of services to clients throughout the mid-Atlantic region. Since 1999, David B. Farrington, P.G., a veteran employee who rose through the ranks, has served as company president. Two other long-term employees, who have assisted in the company's management and growth, round out the ownership team. Donna Luongo Savastio served and continues to serve as corporate secretary and the director of finance and administration. Paul White, P.G., director of geologic services, has been promoted to vice president. Satterthwaite Associates has moved swiftly and effectively to inject new energy and purpose into the company as it enters its second quarter century as a trusted advisor to its many clients. Two other board members, whose experience and expertise will help guide the company to new growth, have been elected. Mr. Andrew Hartnett, founder/owner of Symmetry Consulting, and Mr. Richard Apple, a veteran consultant in the environmental business and long-term advisor to Satterthwaite Associates, will act as resources to the owners as the firm moves through a long-term planning process.Read More
