Sandhills Aviation, LLC was founded in May 2015 upon the request from Pictometry International, Inc. to expand their current fleet capabilities. Our founders, who had worked directly with Pictometry in some shape or fashion since 2007, we're excited about the prospect of working with a growing, successful company. We currently operate 8 Cessna 172... Skyhawks, but are expecting significant growth for the future. Although we are a newly founded company, we are not lacking on experience nor the resources needed to provide our customers with their aviation-related needs when it comes to aerial imagery. With our headquarters in Lincoln, Nebraska and our base of flight operations located at Millard Airport (KMLE), we are strategically located in our country's "heartland" and emphasize safety and efficiency with our hard-working nature. The future of Sandhills Aviation has yet to be written, but the opportunities are endless. Our current staff, including our imagery pilots, make us who we are today. Sandhills aircraft are in service seven days a week, typically through the heart of the aerial imaging season from October to May, in contracts ranging from small, single-site missions to large-scale, recurring annual projects. This dynamic and exciting environment makes Sandhills Aviation a unique place to work, while also being one of the few aviation companies out there to offer low-time pilots an opportunity to fly. With Sandhills Aviation, you can plan to either finish off your commercial license with the anticipation of being signed on for the following aerial imaging season, or be a direct-hire and build valuable flight time while traversing throughout the country gaining invaluable pilot experience.
