Laura is a trauma-focused therapist and the sole owner of Sanctuary Services, with a demonstrated history of serving children, individuals, and families through quality clinical care. She has specialized in trauma-informed practice for over 10 years within Michigan's child welfare system. Additionally, Laura utilizes her training within a local sch... ool-based and community health program in Metro Detroit. With a national certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), Laura is also skilled in Crisis Intervention, Communication, Developmental Assessment, Multidisciplinary and Transdisciplinary Treatment, and Transitional Planning. For financial barriers to treatment, donated funding may be available through Abide Ministries (Sanctuary). Lauras passion is children and families. She is dedicated to providing the best interventions available to support the well being of children and families. Knowing Laura for the past seven years, I have been tremendously impressed with her commitment to learn and implement evidence based and evidence supported interventions that provide the best opportunities for children to heal from trauma and adversity. Being a foster parent can be a scary thing, but it can be so much scarier for the foster child. Having someone help my foster children find their voice in this process was an amazing gift.
