In fact, a significant proportion of the pharmaceuticals were driven by biological drugs and already the number of those imported to the country had increased markedly. To achieve such a goal, Samen Pharmaceutical Co. has committed... to design and build up a separate production line for biotechnology. This production line is equipped with high - tech devices which are capable to produce lyophilized and solution products from 0.5 up to 20ml in glass vials. The line was inaugurated by the M.O.H of IRAN. Buserelin acetate(for prevention of prostate cancer in men and Endometriosis in women), Interferon Beta for multiple sclerosis and other recombinant products has been producing since 2001. The biotechnology unit is equipped with modern laboratory equipment and systems for analysis and assay of biologics materials like proteins and peptides on the basis of the international references to release the biological products. To improve the formulation procedures and the stability studies safety and clinical trials of biological products and to set up the laboratory methods, R&D department of Samen Pharmaceutical Co. has been severely in contact with the academic and scientific centers of IRAN and overseas.
