Safety Matters! Childproofing Services was started over 20 years ago as Safe N Sound Childproofers, Inc. by Larry Stone, a native of Highland Park, Illinois. While visiting friends in California, Larry noticed the home was professionally childproofed and realized there wasnt a service in the Chicagoland area that filled that niche. Since then, Safe... ty Matters! has provided baby proofing services to over 15,000 homes in Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana and Illinois. Larry has also co-written a book, The Safe & Sound Child: Keeping Your Child Safe Inside and Outside the Home, and has been featured on Oprah, The Rosie ODonnell Show and Maury. Safety Matters! has also become popular with pet owners, installing gates, acrylic barriers and locks to keep beloved pets from getting into areas that are either dangerous or off-limits. In 2006, Safety Matters! Childproofing Services became a Dealer for All-Safe Pool Safety Barriers, so that we could help our clients keep their children and pets safe outside around swimming pools, spas and hot tubs. Safety Matters! Childproofing Services is a proud member of The Better Business Bureau, the International Association for Child Safety and Safe Kids. Larry Stone, the owner and president of Safety Matters! Childproofing Services, has spoken at various hospitals, JCCs, multiples groups, clubs and organizations about child safety and is currently accepting bookings.
