Founder and director of Safe Harbor Environmental Services, Gordon Peabody is an advocate for sustainable living and resilient ecosystem management on Cape Cod. Peabody has spent his summers living aboard a sailboat, experiencing the intimate embrace with the primal elements that shape our lives. He has served as a chair on a Cape Cod Conservation... Commission, and chaired the Herring River Technical Committee to restore critical salt marsh habitat in the Herring River estuary. He has also been a Visiting Professor of Sustainability at the University of Wisconsin. Peabody has developed innovative techniques for restoring sand dunes, which Safe Harbor uses to restore coastal ecosystems. These designs are public domain, and have been implemented globally.
