About The Saudi Arabian Corporation for Oil Shale

We are the Saudi Arabian Corporation for Oil Shale (SACOS), a limited liability oil and gas organization and a subsidiary of SAB Holding Group. SACOS was founded in 2006 in Amman, Jordan through some of its predecessors. SACOS owns a Concession Agreement with the Jordanian Government represented by the Ministry of Energy & Mineral Resources (MEMR) for the surface retorting of the Jordanian Oil shale with an expected production lifetime of 40 years. The shale oil production project is executed through the concession agreement terms and conditions on two main phases, the Pre-Development Phase (ongoing phase) and the Development Phase. SACOS' business is the surface retorting and commercial production of oil shale in Jordan.
