Adam has over 20 years of experience in the Engineering and Construction Industry. He began working in the construction industry at 19 years old. As an intern working at a Geotechnical Engineering firm, he began by testing concrete and working on a geotechnical exploration drill rig. After 7 years of performing special inspections and materials tes... ting, Adam obtained all the inspection certifications he could. While maintaining his full-time position , Adam attended University of Missouri Kansas City where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a civil engineering degree in 3 years. After graduating from UMKC, he worked for a small local Structural Engineering firm where he gained experience in both Commercial and Residential structural design, and in all types of construction materials. Working at a small firm provided exposure to many different project types and design situations. He has experience in wood, reinforced concrete, masonry, and structural steel design. Adam has also personally designed over 300,000 square face feet of segmental retaining walls. S1 Structural LLC, was founded in 2016. The firm was named "S1 Structural" to reflect Adam's geotechnical background. S1 is the foundation plan sheet -the start of a project - the basis of which everything else is supported.
