S&R Resources began as S&R Programming and was founded in 1988 by Robert L Wood. Bob retired after a successful 27 year career as a mainframe support and development specialist at Cummins Engine Company - a Fortune 200 corporation based in Columbus, Indiana. His working relationship with Cummins continued after his retirement and S&R Programming wa... s created. Cummins acknowledged value in a business partner they could trust in knowing and understanding their growing IT personnel needs. In January 1997 S&R Programming transitioned to S&R Resources Inc. offering a broader array of technical people and outsourcing services. The new company direction led to changes in sales and marketing, employee benefits and development and a deeper broader customer base. S&R transitioned to managing partners Mark A Holder and Gregory L Wood. The company is still headquartered in Columbus, Indiana with offices in Indianapolis, Indiana and a satellite office in Nashville, TN. The company plan to continue the company's original values for continued growth for the future. These values include staying close to the customer, understanding their goals and environment, and offering the company's services at a competitive price by keeping the company's internal costs low.
