We hold today an influential role in media, boasting of various platforms through which we distribute content, and our leading example in innovative and professional journalism. In 2013, ORINFOR rebranded to become the Rwanda Broadcasting Agency. This marked the beginning of our transformation from being a state broadcaster to becoming a public service broadcaster with a ratification of a new mandate and law governing our organization. As a public service broadcaster, we serve as a bridge in society for communication and dialogue between citizens, government and industry leaders along with everyone else who is part of Rwanda; promoting participation, non-discrimination, transparency and accountability. We produce news and develop programs that engage citizens in their communities, we inform and educate them about new and existing policies, local and regional events, and entertain them. We are intentional about maintaining a stance that is constructive to Rwanda's journey of national development. In our pursuit to contribute to nation building we are deliberate about developing a unifying national identity. RBA reaches its audience through a national radio station - Radio Rwanda, one TV station - RTV, six local radios which are attached to different regions in the country, and a youth focused radio station - Magic FM. We also also stream content online through our website, and mobile applications for radio and television. Through various social media platforms, we engage our audience during programs, for participation and feedback. Misiyo yacuRead More
