We work to build a positive, safe environment in which students, parents, teachers and community members work together for the learning growth of children. We believe that children learn best in an environment of cooperation and trust. Rutherford School Community With a history dating back to 1909, Rutherford School is located within the established community of Bonnie Doon and also serves Idylwylde, Strathearn and Cloverdale communities. Rutherford School is proud of its partnership with the Learning Through Play Montessori Day Care and the Bonnie Doon Playschool giving us the ability to serve the needs of community families. We pride ourselves in having a welcoming and caring environment with active, committed involvement from parents and staff. Rutherford School is located next to the University of Alberta's Faculty St. Jean campus, Old Strathcona and the downtown area. he school is conveniently located on an ETS route.Yellow Bus service is available for families living in the Idylwylde, Strathearn and Cloverdale communities.Preschool, daycare and out-of-school care programs are located in the building in addition to other nearby childcare options.Read More
