I was raised by an artistic mother and a mechanical father instilling in me the affection for art and the joy of working with metals. Early memories as a child are of my mother painting flowers, animals and sketching old cabins that arose out of the mount... ain depths. My eyes focused on my mothers projects: marble rose, calligraphy and leather work all coming from her creative mind. Meanwhile, my father was welding rusty pipe, car exhausts and building structures to endure the restless elements. The older I became the more memories I had of my father working with metal and removing the rust to bring back the raw color. Camping trips of old were spent admiring rusted mining camps and creations of the past, inspiring my future ideas. Rusted metal is a beautiful thing and where I express my passion.Read More
