RDC, Nepal has been implementing a project entitled "Livelihood Recovery for Peace (LRP)" in 32 VDCs of Rautahat district in partnership with UNDP/LRP since October 2002. The objectives of the project are to promote peace and social cohesion at the community level, livelihood services to deliver and generate short-term employment as peace dividends... , to enhance skills and knowledge of local youth based on market demand for long- term sustainable development, to strengthen various assets of rural households and communities for better livelihood results and to strengthen capacity of relevant Government and other institutions to deliver livelihood services. This report presents an overview of all the activities that LRP/RDC has implemented in the selected 32 VDC's of Rautahat Districts of social mobilization area with the support of Livelihood Recovery for Peace Program of UNDP. It provides comprehensive information on the strategies and programs implemented in the selected VDC. These include Infra development work, PLA classes & monthly reflection meeting, WRF meeting, trainings organized RDC Nepal. Social Mobilization process is the backbone of all type of development campaign. It assist to improve Livelihood sector, infra structure development and reconstruction, water and sanitation provision, vital registration, improving environment, school enrolment of children, vaccination of children below 5 years, and support in literacy program for the CG member. During the reporting period following activities are running & completed likewise refresher training of social mobilization, refresher training of group management & capacity building, in Infra project, after need identification & verification, construction of infra work is completed simultaneously social audit completed of the project.
