About Rural Connectivity Group
The Rural Connectivity Group (RCG) is an independent entity established to design, build, and maintain a new telecommunications network in rural New Zealand. Appointed by the government, RCG aims to provide 4G wireless broadband and 3G mobile services under the Rural Broadband Initiative 2 and the Mobile Black Spot fund. The project will cover at least 30,000 rural homes and businesses, as well as key rural state highways and tourist hotspots, by December 2017. RCG collaborates with major mobile network operators Spark, One NZ, and 2degrees to deliver these essential services to isolated areas.Explore more
