"I started in business for myself when I was in elementary school, mowing lawns, fixing things, and painting houses for neighbors. I learned to take pride in my work after a talk from my mom...I did a sloppy job on a neighbor's lawn and when we drove to church the next morning, she saw it, and let me know what she thought of my work. When Mom said... she was embarrassed by my work I was devastated. After church I re-cut that lawn. Throughout my high school years neighbors were beginning to hire me for bigger jobs: roofs, skylights, bay windows & front doors. I hired a buddy and we worked 7 days a week all summer. This continued during college. In 1987 I received a BS in Chemistry from Northland College in Wisconsin so Mom wouldn't have to worry about me landing a career flipping burgers...and Rowe Roofing & Carpentry was born. At some point early on I realized roofing was not fun anymore so I simply changed the name to Rowe Carpentry. Since then I've remodeled every part of the residential home, converted commercial space into doctor offices & regular offices, installed entertainment/bookcase built-ins, built home theaters, built additions & garages, built a few custom homes in Princeton Boro and set a modular 2nd floor addition."
