Roverchase was founded September 15th, 2013. But who were we before then? Roverchase is a family owned and operated company. Most of our clients know Abigail and Norman and see them everyday when they drop off their pets. Norman has an MBA from Vanderbilt University and spent the first 35 years of his professional career in overseas marketing and s... ales of industrial sewing machine equipment. In 1976 he married Penelope and within that first year of marriage, they acquired 6 dogs. Penelope and Norman competed with these dogs in conformation and obedience at AKC dog shows until Abigail was born. Penelope and Norman home educated Abigail K-12 and instilled in her a deep love for animals and animal behavior. Abigail began competing and showing hunter jumper horses at just 9 years old and by 12 years old Abigail was also competing heavily in pure-bred dog sports. Abigail began traveling with an AKC professional dog show trainer and handler at the age of 15. At the age of 16 Abigail began working full time at a Veterinarian in addition to continuing her work with professional dog trainers. Abigail is now celebrating her 16th full-time professional year in this industry. Abigail received her BA in Community Development, Interpersonal Counseling, and Theological Studies and then began her professional certifications for animal behavior, including Victoria Stillwell's endorsed trainer for Alabama, the only Certified Canine Behavior Consultant in Alabama, and a Certified Pet Dog Trainer. Abigail is now the most certified Canine Behavior Consultant in Alabama and one of the most highly certified professionals in the Southeast. Norman, Penelope, and Abigail all live in the community Roverchase serves and are active in many charities, clubs, and organizations. They love being in business together as a family and truly consider it a dream come true.
