Rosehurst Garden

Rosehurst Garden is a hidden gem is Spokane, WA. The original owner Rose Hurst has a story hard to believe. She built her home in 1934 during the Great Depression. It was almost impossible to build then but she was resourceful and salvaged brick from a building being demolished and she used lanterns to light her house originally from horse-drawn ca... rriages. The house crest above the doors, now part of our logo, consisted of old cake pans and shapes collected through out the city of Spokane. Rose did not have much so when it came to paying the men who built her home she was creative and would collect their bread line food and cook meals for them and their families. Her creativeness is even shown throughout the rest of the property and her garden. She had a wishing well which is now a fountain, created a small waterfall, a grotto, and planted many plants, flowers and trees including a olive tree. The current owners Rene' and Brett fell in love with Roses story and property. When purchasing the property in 2007 they knew they wanted to share it with the public. It was not until 2014 they opened their gates and have booked a variety of events. In addition to adding gates, they have enhanced the property with fun additions like a bocce ball court, outdoor fire pits, a terrace, and a dance floor made to dance under the stars in this romantic setting.
