Beginning with Natan Rok, the Rok name has become synonymous with the emergence of Miami, Florida into a world-class center of commerce and the arts. An emigrant from Cuba, Natan Rok arrived in Miami in 1964 and opened a modest retail business on historic Flagler Street.
