Rockover Resources Limited ("the Company") is privately owned and was registered in Tortola, British Virgin Islands (BVI) on 30th November 1999. (Registration Number 354572). The company completed its first equity financing in mid 2000 and commenced exploration activities in Zimbabwe in October of the same year. The share register of the company bo... asts 100 investors, including a number of small institutions and investment funds. In 2001, following a second financing, it acquired a 50% interest in Rockover Oil and Gas (BVI) Limited and commenced exploration activities in Gabon. This acquisition led to a very successful venture, ultimately leading to the discovery of the Onal Oil Field in 2004. In February 2005, the company sold its share in Rockover Oil and Gas Limited to Maurel and Prom, a French public company. Rockover, through its energy subsidiary Rockover Energy Limited, retains certain royalty rights in respect to production from Onal. The sale of Rockover Oil and Gas has been a milestone in the company's history and provided a cash flow with which to expand operations and pay the first dividends to shareholders. At the end of 2004 Rockover commenced mineral exploration activities in Mozambique and Botswana through its companies Rovuma Resources Limited and Rockover Resources Botswana Limited. Rockover Resource Limited owns 75.65% and 100% of these companies, respectively. Successful regional exploration lead to the identification of a new nickel province "The Cabo Delgado Nickel Belt" in northern Mozambique and the company made its first nickel discovery at Murite. Non compliant resources at the end of 2010 amounted to 21 million tons at a nickel grade of 0.41% and the company completed a positive scoping study. In June 2008 Rovuma Resources Limited completed a rights issue raising in excess of US $5 million bringing the number of shareholders to 24.
