Rivershore Foundation Inc., in coordination with People Inc., engages in public relations, lobbies for volunteers and raises funds for the benefit of program participants served by People Inc. in Niagara County. Established in 1987, the Rivershore Foundation was created to assist programs operated by Rivershore Inc., a small nonprofit serving peopl... e with developmental disabilities based in Niagara County, including Lewiston, Lockport, Niagara Falls, Wheatfield and Youngstown, NY.. Changes in the system of care prompted a merger of Rivershore Inc. into People Inc., a regional nonprofit health and human services leader. As a result, People Inc. gained access to additional expertise and there was a rapid increase in the number of people served in Niagara County. Community support for the Rivershore Foundation has continued to grow, just as our expanded mission touches many more lives. Your donations make a direct impact on the quality of life of people who have developmental disabilities living in Niagara County, along with their families.
