Rhythms - Exotic afro Percussions

Rhythms is a Santa Clara, California company that makes and use musical instruments as a vehicle to promote Cultural Understanding . We offer programs such as hands-on projects making musical instruments, but also teach the history and the origin of those instruments. We introduce activities with music theme in a community to provide young people a... s well as adults an opportunity to learn about other cultures and how to make musical instruments. Through learn by doing workshops, students will make their own instruments and are taught how to play music as a group. Each student will also take home the drums made. We specialize in providing training in ethnomusicological theory and history to young and old alike. Learn how to play various hand drums and percussions to express yourself by improvisation, an African method where music is not played the same way twice. Our program will expose you to African drum cultures and how it is adapted to the world of popular music today. We teach students of all levels, how to play the major music genres in the Americas.
