Rexco Equipment, Inc. was founded in 1964 by Rex Smith Sr. and his wife Mildred. They started with a store in Cedar Rapids, IA selling and servicing the Link-Belt Crane account in 26 counties across eastern Iowa. Their sons, Rex Jr. and Steve grew up in the business and played a large part in the growth of Rexco Equipment. Their commitment to excellence in customer service resulted in great relationships with the manufactures and loyal customers. Under the direction of Rex Jr. and Steve Smith, Rexco entered into compact equipment (1985) including Bobcat and ExMark. We currently operate 4 Bobcat dealerships in the Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, Burlington, and Quad City areas. As Rex Jr. and Steve Smith reached retirement age, feeling strongly against selling the company, they started an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) in 2013. Believing the empowerment of each employee owner would create a strong future for Rexco. Josh Bottelman was appointed President in November of 2015.
