Higgins House is licensed by the State of Illinois and its programs have been recognized as "Best of Chicago" by the U.S. Commerce Association in 1915, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013. Clients turn to ReVive Center for many reasons, but above all, they know that they will be treated with dignity and respect. Our staff members are committed to helping all individuals and families with the compassion and understanding that people have come to expect from ReVive Center since 1915. ReVive Center's community outreach programs include our legacy Christmas Basket Program providing Christmas gifts to families and senior citizens who cannot afford to buy presents and homeless assistance services providing a daily lunch bag and clothing. Second Chance Thrift sells a wide variety of merchandise, including clothing, household goods, furniture, shoes, music, and books. Sales from the thrift store help fund our programs and services. These are some of the many ways we pursue our mission to restore hope and prevent homelessness for the most vulnerable members of our community.
