Restoring Hope

Restoring Hope is a non-profit, Christian-based charity for the community. Most of us have come across people in our day-to-day lives that we can see are struggling with difficult situations. Many of our neighbors struggle to provide the basic needs of life (i.e.: food, clothing, and shelter) for their families and themselves. God's Word tells us i... n James 2:14-17, "What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, Go in peace; keep warm and well fed, but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead." God's Word tells us there's more to be done than just praying for things to "work out". So we wanted to do something about it. At Restoring Hope, we take donations of nearly everything. Everything from clothing, furniture, kitchen items, to cash is taken then made available to anyone who needs it. There's no catch and no payment for items taken. On a person's first visit, we ask if they have a BIble. If they do not, we give them one and share the love of Christ with them. We do this with the hope that it provides a helping hand up, but is not taken as "just another handout."Read More
