Our care focuses in "NeuroStructural Correction", which means that special attention is taken into the relationship between the structure of the spine and the function of the nervous system. The nervous system controls and coordinates all of the functions of the body, so when its structure, support, and stimulation are altered, the function of the... nervous system is altered as well. This altered function means that the body as a whole cannot function as efficiently as it is meant to, leading into what are called "secondary conditions". Secondary conditions arise when the structure and function of the body is altered. Studies have shown that conditions in infants like latching difficulty, torticollis, constipation, irritability, colic, and many others can arise from a misalignment in the spine, causing undue stress on the nervous system. Our goal at Restoration Chiropractic is to restore the function of the spine and nervous system, which leads to optimal function and reduced secondary conditions. Our why is simple. Bringing a baby into the world is stressful, both emotionally and physically. We take care of pregnant mothers in order to allow her to be as comfortable as possible during pregnancy, and to have the easiest birth process possible. We take care of postpartum mothers and babies because they have just been through a very stressful birth process which can cause many issues for mom, and is the major contributing cause for a multitude of issues for baby regardless of whether it was an un-medicated vaginal birth, a planned C-section, or anything in between. Our goal is for your entire family to be functioning at their maximum capacity. When stress is left unchecked on a person's nervous system, secondary conditions tend to only compound as the stress gets worse and worse every day, month, and year that it is not removed.
