CACAO WAS USED TO MAKE A BEER, WHICH THEY DRANK AFTER DINNER OR ON SPECIAL OCCASIONS. CHOCOLATE WAS NOT SWEETENED; THEY ADDED CHILLIS AND OTHER PEPPERS TO IT.
